Our 90-minute weekly Band Programs give every student—young or adult, beginner or advanced—a place to grow through collaboration, performance, and real-world music experience. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or getting ready for your next big show, there’s a band that’s right for you.

Each program is part of a clear pathway—from first-time players to advanced performers—and is designed to meet students where they are, while helping them grow as musicians, bandmates, and performers.

WSM bands don’t just rehearse—they perform. Students in every program take the stage at least once per semester, with many playing regularly throughout the community. Our bands have performed at iconic venues including the Fillmore, the Miami Heat Arena, North Beach Bandshell, and the Adrienne Arsht Center.

Whether it’s your first solo or your fifteenth show, you’ll feel the rush of performing with a band, in front of a real audience.

Rock Ambassadors

Advanced level - audition only

For the truly dedicated. This advanced, audition-based ensemble is led by WSM co-founder Sammy Gonzalez Zeira and offers a mentorship-driven, high-impact experience. Students explore advanced musical concepts, refine their stage presence, and perform regularly at major venues. Members also gain access to the YMU Student Ambassadors program for additional leadership and career development. This is where passion meets professionalism.

Rock Legends

Intermediate level

Take your skills to the next level. Rock Legends is designed for students with a solid musical foundation who are ready to master advanced techniques, play in tighter ensembles, and perform more challenging arrangements. This program emphasizes creative collaboration, ensemble discipline, and unlocking your full potential as a performing artist.

Rising stars

For students ready to take their first steps into band performance. Rising Stars bridges private lesson support with the energy of real band rehearsals. Students with basic instrumental skills develop confidence, rhythm, and musicality—while learning how to rehearse and perform as a team.

Rock juniors

The perfect start to a lifelong love of music. Rock Juniors introduces young musicians to the joy of playing together in a fun, age-appropriate setting. Students explore guitar, drums, keyboard, and more while building foundational skills in rhythm, listening, and creativity. Led by passionate instructors, this weekly class builds confidence, collaboration, and musical imagination.
